MS. MONYEA

Monyeaangels/Angel Robertson is an activist, singer-songwriter, and performance artist who channels her artistry into community organizing and housing justice advocacy. She founded LARA (Los Angeles Run(a)way Angels), a program helping houseless trans individuals in Los Angeles transition out of tent living, and continues to champion the necessity of stable housing for artists and marginalized communities. Robertsonโ€™s work centers on collective care and mutual aid, believing that securing basic needs creates the foundation for artistic development and community impact. Her vision extends to establishing transitional housing specifically for artists, emphasizing that those who have experienced housing insecurity are uniquely positioned to support others facing similar challenges.

See Ms. Monyea perform Rhythm zero 2.3 at the DC CAH Gallery on Friday, June 13.
