Kamille Simone
Kamille Simone is an interdisciplinary artist, adjunct professor, and administrator. She received an MFA from George Washington University’s Corcoran School of the Arts & Design and a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a 2022 Torpedo Factory Post-Grad Resident Artist. She received the Outstanding MFA Award at Corcoran’s Next exhibition. She exhibited work at Target Gallery, Anderson Gallery, Bronx Art Space, Deanna Evans Projects, Gallery 102, Smith Hall of Art, Gallery 5, the Garden, Studio 23, Richmond Library, Anderson Gallery, Playhaus, the Center for Craft, the LGBTQ Center of Durham, and the Refinery Creator Space.

Most work stems from my prioritizing metaphysical symbols and their reorientation. This imagery represents my negotiation with contemporary transcendental themes and their connection to Blackness, Queerness, class, and faith.
